He took tips from Willy Wonka
In 2006, Prince hid 14 purple tickets inside his album ‘3121’. 7 of these were hidden in American CD cases whilst 7 were hidden internationally. The lucky winners were then invited to a private performance at the musicians LA home.
He was staying down the road from John Lennon’s murder scene
Prince was a huge Beatles fan, covering their songs on occasion. However, in 1980 when John Lennon was shot dead, Prince was staying at a hotel only a block away from the incident.
He was involved in some peculiar lawsuits
Prince tried to sue Adobe in order to prevent fans from photoshopping images of himself, it failed. In 2014 he tried to sue 22 fans at one of his gigs for ‘mass copyright infringement’ after they filmed footage at one of his gigs and uploaded it to the internet, that failed too.
