Scroobius Pip Helps Work on Red Cross Album

RnB/Hip Hop | Thursday 11th February 2016 | Arash

Hip Hop artist Scroobius Pip is releasing a track, “Who Are You?” for British Red Cross’ album, “The Long Road” after being inspired by the story of an African woman who tried to seek asylum in the UK.

After fleeing from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and being denied Asylum in the UK, Ramelle was also jailed for five months for acquiring a false passport. The Red Cross appealed her case and she was finally granted asylum in 2010.

She now works as a carer after getting her degree in Biochemistry at Nottingham Trent University.

Set to release on March 4th, the album will feature many well-known artists including Robert Plant and will be produced by Ethan Jones who has worked alongside Kaiser Chiefs, Laura Marling and Kings of Leon. All proceeds from The Long Road will go to British Red Cross UK Refugee Support services.
