Wednesday 21st November 2012 | Osh

A posthomous album of previously unreleased tracks from the iconic guitarist is set to be released next year.

Hendrix offers us the pivotal cultural iconic image of the first true axe-wielding guitar hero, instrumental in the development of popular music and experimentation with the electric guitar, the American born musician is widely considered the greatest guitar player ever to have lived.

Jimi cemented his legendary status by joining one of the most exclusive clubs in the world of Rock and Roll, dying in his home in Kensington at the age of 27. Fans worldwide have since mourned the early loss of one of the true greats but now have the chance to witness one last release.

Recorded in 1968 and 1969 the LP ‘People, Hell and Angels’ contains songs intended for the follow up to the classic ‘Electric Ladyland’ which Hendrix was working on prior to his death. The LP is yet to have a date announced for the UK but is scheduled for release on March 5 in the US.
