Samsung rumoured to pay Apple $1 billion in 5-cent coins

Samsung have been rumoured to pay Apple a $1 billion fine in 5-cent coins by the truckload.
Rumours sprang off the wall this week over the whole ‘Samsung/Apple’ dispute. Samsung owe $1 billion to Apple for copyright infringements and it was reported that Samsung’s way of paying their debt back, whilst kicking Apple in the cork, was to turn up at the California headquarters with thirty truckloads of 5-cent coins. It was reported that as the trucks turned up, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook received a call from the CEO of Samsung saying it was their way of solving the dispute whilst paying the fine back in whichever way they saw fit. It couldn’t have been more annoying and amusing if the bill was paid in twenty billion coins, but unfortunately the rumour is just indeed a rumour. The payment has still not been made and the chances are it is just going to be appealed forever and a day, but I’m guessing if it is, it will just be through a standard, boring wire transfer from one company to the other. How boring.
