Catch the best of the capital at London Unsigned LIVE #TriGig

Indie | Friday 24th July 2015 | Renée-Láuren

London Unsigned was formed in 2014 and has since evolved into one of London’s finest free promoters, offering a ‘no strings attached’ commitment to unsigned music.

They set up gigs and events in and around London to showcase small bands who have chosen to be independent rather than sign themselves to a record label. The upcoming London Unsigned Live #TriGig event at The Good Ship, on September 26, is going to be a night showcasing the talent of four amazing bands and artists.

The Telescreen

The Telescreen are a Brighton-based band formed in November 2012. They are most often described as indie/rock however lead singer Frankie Cocozza has called the band’s music ‘pop and roll’. Since 2012 they have headlined many UK tours as a five-piece, however the last year as been relatively quiet with two band members leaving to pursue other careers. But with a new EP on its way, The Telescreen have yet another tour in the pipeline.

The Poet Junkies

Plymouth based The Poet Junkies are an original four-piece rock band formed in 2013. They have grown to be a formidable force in and around the South West and since playing a storming set at the first London Unsigned gig, it was only a matter of time before they returned to London. This band are one to watch, with big things planned including an appearance at MTC Crashes and multiple festival dates this summer.

The Step

Alternative indie-pop duo The Step are a regular on the London gig scene. While their roots are firmly planted in Italian music, they have adopted a distinctly English/American intimate rock sound. With very polished and beautifully written songs, The Step leave their crowds in awe wherever they go.

Darren O’Toole

The special guest of the night, Darren O’Toole is an Irish born poet and performer who moved from Ireland to establish a career in London after a hit TV show on Irish television. He has since headlined shows in Shoreditch and Hammersmith, as well as performing alongside Russell Brand and John Cooper Clarke. With a glowing past and a prosperous path ahead of him, Darren is sure to set the performance scene alight over the coming years.
