The Lady of The House Cultural Exhibition opens on International Womens Day March 8th w Sita Abellan Art Installation

Liquid Funk | Monday 7th March 2022 | Nicky

Launching their first-ever Cultural Exhibition in Bristol, the Lady of The House team have mounted a street campaign featuring 3 images from Sita Abellan’s Debut Art Show being unveiled at the launch on International Women’s Day March 8th.

Welcoming the international artists Sita Abellan and Berlin-based activist and artist, Katya Kov, who debuts with 2 very different & unique shows that reflect their musical & cultural journey. On display during the Exhibition and for two weeks, Sita has curated a bespoke selection of striking images reflective of the LoTH ethos "celebrating, championing and honouring women”.

‘Tastemaker, DJ and fashion-forward artist Sita Abelian has been expressing her eclectic visions of aestheticism across the digital globe - transfixing her audience with all her endeavours. From techno to modelling to her newest jewellery line, Sita brings her all ‘. (Glamcult)

A true multi-hyphenate, discovered through her creations on Tumblr and Instagram, Sita is at the vanguard of a new wave of LGBTQ cultural tastemakers. Pushing boundaries where music and style collide, she’s as adept at playing for underground crowds at Ibiza's iconic DC10 as she is walking Parisian runways or designing capsule collections for major brands. Her unique style has seen her collaborate with Latin superstar, J Balvin and designers such as Fendi and Chanel.

Resident DJ for Moschino fashion icon, Jeremy Scott for several years, Sita was handpicked by Seth Troxler & The Martinez Brothers to play their Ibiza Tuskegee showcase and toured the USA with house icon Felix da Housecat, winning over legions of new fans playing uncompromising techno on major festival stages. Sita recently released a new track  ‘Cult of Personality’ Regal & Sita Abelian Remix and also had a casual cameo in Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money” music video.

The LoTH Cultural Exhibition features artist Q&A sessions,  DJ and industry-related workshops, VR taster sessions and rounding off with a club event featuring Radio 1’s Charlie Tee, and inaugural guests include Jaguar, Radio 1’s Charlie Tee and Sarah Story, Nicole Moudaber, Kiss Fresh’s Amy Elle, Anja Schneider, Eats Everything, Carl Cox, Shermanology, Cici, Carly Heath (Bristol Night-Time EconomyAdvisor), Just Her and
