LISTEN | Prestige marks a massive return to Program

Drum and Bass | Thursday 10th June 2021 | Arren

Prestige returns to Program with his latest club hitters.

From running raves with his mates to becoming one of the most consistent players in drum & bass. Hailing from Russia, Prestige has long been deeply involved in music. Following years of laying down cut throat records, his records have become firm favourites of selectors across the scene.

Luckily for them he’s just dropped his latest fire through the high-powered EP, 'Beautiful'. Returning to Program, RAM’s sister label, it’s five serious cuts of dutty, cut throat bangers. Giving no gimmicks and homing in on the bare bones, as the tracks focus on polished drums and nailing bass.

The title track leaves little room for playing around with its devastatingly slick rolling drums and wonky bass stabs. Following up is 'Fever', with warping sounds spinning you out with it’s jungle soaked drums and a breakdown that’ll sure chaos havoc on the floors. Next up Prestige gets a little minimalist with ticking drums and glitchy bass. Subtle chords and strings raise you up a little before the slews of drooping bass ooze over the razor sharp drum pattern in 'Let’s Wrap'. Closing off the EP is 'The House Tour' - which again hits hard with its groaning bass all carried through with the rolling drums.

This EP is strictly business, as Prestige lays down rhythms which are sure to cause serious damage on the floors. It's exactly the high impact, DJ weapons we've come to expect from him. They’re just the latest from a producer who’s more than earned his stripes.
