Guestlist | Playlist: Bensley

Drum and Bass | Monday 8th March 2021 | Arren

Following his juicy edit of Tame Impala’s track 'It Might Be Time', Bensley has shared some of his favourite edits/remixes and bootlegs.

Bensley is one talented producer. He creates drum & bass that transcends the dancefloor and he gives serious attention to detail in the musicality of his tracks. He exploded into the game after being immediately signed by RAM. Following several releases, huge remixes of artists including Camo & Krooked & Flux Pavilion, and with two albums under his belt it comes as no surprise that Bensley firmly put himself on the map.

Following on from his sick tracks released last year on Monstercat, the Canadian producer/DJ dropped a hair-raising edit of Tame Impala’s track, 'It Might Be TIme'. He perfectly writes in his signature anthemic sound to the beat, working all the elements together for a dancefloor focused edit to spruce up sets with a little uplifting magic.

Bensley’s put it out for a free download and we recommended you bag yourself a copy. Following his edit surfacing we asked Bensley what other unofficial remixes he’s digged in the past. He’s sorted us with a banging selection of bootlegs, and edits from some of the biggest and best producers in drum & bass.

'Generate (Dimension Edit)' - Eric Prydz

"This one respects all the anthemic qualities of the original and makes for an ethereal moment on the dancefloor every time."

'Circles (Pola & Bryson Remix)' - Adam F

"I think this one's still a dub - it goes off every time. I can't think of a classic that's been updated with modern production so tastefully and effectively."

'Heathens (Magnetude Bootleg)' - Twenty One Pilots

"Absolutely love mixing with this one - the main theme works really well at D&B tempo, and the Magnetude guys slayed it on the production."

'Bittersweet Symphony (Keeno Bootleg)' - The Verve

"Not sure if this one ever saw a release - I remember begging Will (Keeno) for it the first time I heard it, and it didn't leave my set for at least a year!"

'Climax (Rene LaVice Bootleg)' - Usher

"The perfect fusion of R&B and D&B - I'll never forget the first time I heard this one the rave."
