Guestlist | Clubs: Maxi Meraki

Rising star Maxi Meraki selects his five favourite venues to party in.
The funky minimal tech house artist Maxi Meraki is up next to select our latest club picks. The Belgian DJ/producer who’s known for always smiling began making waves in 2018 with various residencies and sets in Ibiza and Amsterdam. He continued that trend into 2019 with a host of big shows at venues including Barcelona’s Soho House, Marbella’s Plage Casanis and his appearance on Pirata’s Ibiza alongside DC-10’s resident Nathan Barato, the popular boat party on the party isle.
After finding his path on the decks, 2019 he moved into the studio with and released his debut release 'Reflections' on his own imprint Meraki Records. An epic debut with a progression that sounds perfect in the biggest of clubs. A massive tune for the early morning crew, no surprises was a massive success and picked up support from Paco Osuna, Bebetta and Gene Farris. He’s since had a couple of equally impressive releases on 72 Pixels, again picking up serious support from key tastemakers. On 5th June he’ll be dropping his latest release, 'Love Story'. An incredible EP demonstrating true versatility within his tech house sound. Coming on True Romance we guarantee that this one will blow up like all his previous releases.
He may be smashing the production side of things, but it’s important to remember he made his names in the clubs. Being resident and a regular in locations like Ibiza, Amsterdam and Barcelona isn’t an easy feat, though Maxi Meraki has smashed it. Given his experience, it makes him the perfect candidate to select the best clubs. He hasn’t let us down with another stellar pickings of clubs that we need to get ourselves to, once lockdown has lifted of course.
DC-10 - Ibiza, Spain
The terrace with Circoloco is one of my favorite dance floors every year. Playing there would make me put the funky bass a little harder!
Pacha - Ibiza, Spain
Being one of the first clubs I visited years ago on the island, it will always be one of the biggest icons to me.
White - Dubai, UAE
Visiting one of Dubai’s first open rooftop nightclubs was a true experience, with an amazing set by Black Coffee.
Omnia - Las Vegas, USA
The first flashback image I always have is the mainroom' huge chandelier. It’s one of those clubs that makes you feel like you're at this huge mainstage of a festival.
Octagan - Seoul, South Korea
When I was on holiday in this vibrant city, I had the chance to visit this huge nightclub. So playing this groovy track of Peggy Gou would be a must!
