After gaining over 200,000 online plays with her previous track, Adenikè is starting off the summer with her brand-new single ‘Tonight’. The song is the latest to be taken from her up and coming EP and brings Afropop to a new level as a soft, yet mesmerizing voice plays over a steady pop and Afrobeat musical backdrop. The heavy drum beat really makes this song a dancefloor must-listen to.

Listen to Tonight on Spotify.

London based British Nigerian Afropop artist Adenikè has not only worked with the likes of popular producers like SHØLA, who also provided the back beats to ‘Tonight’, but after the success with her debut single ‘Ride’ has also opened for Burna Boy on his ‘African Giant’ European tour. Adenikè says the track is “about finding love at its finest. It feels like something that is just too good to be true, but yet long overdue, which is why everything’s so good and sweet, and there are no limits to how far you would be willing to go for that person”

Speaking about how the song came about, Adenikè says that, “My producer SHØLA put this instrumentation on, during one of our many frequent studio sessions, and I just went with the flow, and she was feeling the vibe as much as I was. I instantly got a love vibe from the track and started writing the beginnings of what is now ‘Tonight’. We recorded the foundations of the track that same day, and built the record out from there. What I love about working with SHØLA is that she understands my sound”.

Tonight is out now and you can check out more about Adenikè on her Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
