Skepsis provides us with his top festival bits and pieces.
Everything happening right now with the COVID-19 makes it feel like events might never happen again. But if we all follow the advice and stay strong we’ll all be ready to dive into the best summer in living memory. With festivals, parties and those long summer nights all feeling extra special after this shit storm we’re currently all weathering.
Helping keep our spirits high, and giving us something to look forward to is Skepsis who provides us with five essential items for the festival season. The South London based producer/DJ and member of CruCast has had a whirlwind ride of it recently. He’s had a slew of heavyweight originals and remixes which have caused carnage in the bassline scene. He's also an acclaimed DJ, pulling a mad selection of tunes with the dirtiest bass the bassline genre can offer, effortlessly mixing through. You can see a sneak peak of the kinda tunes Skepsis pulls for with his playlist he featured with us last year.
He still slows no sign of slowing his meteoric rise, with a load of massive appearances on this year's festival lists. One of his appearances later this year is at London’s SW4 Festival where he’s part of a stacked line up including 21 Years of So Solid Crew, Andy C, The Streets, and DJ EZ. The festival returns to Clapham Common on August’s Bank Holiday weekend this year for the first time for a solid three days raving. Tickets are out now.
Ahead of his appearance at SW4, Skepsis has put together his top five festival essentials.
Wet wipes
The holy grail of festival essentials. Basically a portable shower in a pack - a few wipes in the morning and you're ready to seize the day!
Portable charger
For when it's 3am, you're lost at a psytrance stage in the forest and you haven't seen your mates for 2 days.
Sun cream
Often overlooked, however after developing heatstroke at Glastonbury this year I can safely say that every festival goer should have it.
Alcohol
Goes without saying really - who wants to be paying £6 for a beer every day?
Ear plugs
Another safety precaution, yet as someone around loud music all the time I cannot stress their importance enough. Every raver should wear earplugs - tinnitus is no joke.
