Methlab taking action over global deforestation

Drum and Bass | Monday 2nd September 2019 | Arren

Methlab are taking action following the escalating deforestation around the world.

They’ve done this through a special release, entitled Borrowed Time (Save the Rainforests). A huge compilation of tunes from a selection of the label’s artists with all proceeds going straight to the Attenborough approved charity, Cool Earth.

The compilation will be available for four weeks and offers us a chance to get a stack of quality experimental bass music and inject some good into the world. Clocking up to 12 tracks of the obscure style we’ve come to love Methlab for, featuring many of their usual suspects including Balatron, Exept and Æterna.

The project also comes with a sick visual from Dutch artist Sem Shimla - displaying the rates of forest coverage in every country in the world set to one of Borrowed Time’s tunes; ‘Dark Energy’ by Audeka & Rawtekk.

The album is out now, we cannot recommend highly enough - and it’s all for a massively important cause. - get stuck in!

Big up Methlab!!
