GLXY bring those liquid vibes

Drum and Bass | Tuesday 6th August 2019 | Arren

Off the back of their latest banger, GLXY’s sorted us an equally banging playlist.

Shogun signed liquid dons GLXY have been on a mad tip recently. Their tunes are smooth AF, effortless guiding their way through sets in clubs and festivals everywhere. Their latest release, ‘Changed Forever’ is no exception.

The duo have been turning heads with their sensuous beats for time now and it’s got them huge slots at the biggest spaces for drum & bass including; Hospitality on the Beach, Let It Roll and Liquicity. They’re a regular fixture on club bills as well, which comes as no surprises as their abilities on the deck are on par with their abilities in the studio.

In the midst of a huge summer for the boys, they’ve dropped another smasher. ‘Changed Forever’ sees GLXY rolling out their tried and tested formula. Executed perfectly the final cut is a summertime anthem with soft vocals, uplifting chords and a bubbly bass.

Marking out their summer smasher, we asked the GLXY pair to fix us up a playlist of their top dnb tracks. They’ve not let us down, both selecting five killer tracks of top tier drum & bass.

JC

Calibre - In Denial

An oldie but a goodie that Lenzman put me onto recently. Everything I love about Calibre and Soul:R rolled into one track.

LQ - Keep Hiding (Pola & Bryson Remix)

Love it when the boys step away from the piano and go a bit deeper. They can do it all. Big up Soulvent records too!

Ulterior Motive, Quadrant, Iris - Intuition

Just an absolute slapper from these guys. The output from Guidance has been silly so far.

Vicious Circle & Nocturnal - Last Chance Saloon

Criminally underrated roller, this one puts you in a trance. Found its way back into the sets recently!

Ed:it - Dayz

Such a delicate blend of soul, roller and weight from the boy Ed! His trilogy of EP’s (or LP) are gonna be remembered for a long time!

Tom

LSB – Melrose

LSB doing what he does best. Love the interaction between the bassline and the synth in the higher registers. Always goes down nicely on the dancefloor too.

Kid Drama & Garvo – Blu Dream

Gritty bassline meets warm synths, really, really well done by these guys. The subtle variations keep the tune rolling nicely too.

Stray – Queen

Stumbled upon this one again recently. Incredibly deep and introspective tune by Stray on that jungle tip.

Hoover1 – Hoover1A

Bit of a curveball this one bit a banger. Nod to the 90’s with the ravey drums and vocal cuts taking centre stage.

GLXY – Changed Forever

Obviously had to include this! Been opening our sets with this for a while now and we’re really happy to get it out there!
