Interested in music production and workflow? Dabbled into making beats but wished you had the experience of a veteran producer to guide you to get a little step up?
Well, The Marcus Intalex Music Foundation and Calibre's XOYO Residency will be hosting a production masterclass for 20 budding producers on Friday, the 2nd August. Manchester-based Drum & Bass producer Dub Phizix be taking you through some serious Drum Production techniques to make you into a serial killer beatmaker and hopefully on the road to Drum and Bass stardom.
The workshop will be between 7 pm and 8:30 pm at the club itself just before the Calibre residency which sees Exit Records and Calibre join forces for the Marcus Intalex foundation, an important non-profit organisation established to support young people in various aspects of music development.
If you'd like to take part, sign up using the application link below. There will be a limited 20 spaces available for this workshop and you have to be 16 or over to enter. XOYO will let you know next week if you have been selected.
Last Friday saw Fabio, Calibre and DJ Marky with MC GQ destroy the place with sweat, bass and liquid vibes. Fabio has since gone on to say that this it was the night of the year for him...big words from the DnB godfather himself. The evening was an absolute masterclass in Drum & Bass which kicked off early with Fabio bringing the house to its knees with an exclusive all unreleased Calibre set. The Calibre appreciation society was out in full force for the music as Fabio reloaded some hidden gems from Calibre himself.
This Friday, 26th July will see a very special show with Doc Scott, LSB and DRS who join Calibre for a night where half of the profits will go towards the Marcus Intalex Music Foundation.
So remember, the workshop is limited to 20 people and open to anyone with a bit of production background and 16 years and over.
