Stanton Warriors get us hyped for their Friday Fabric showdown

Drum and Bass | Wednesday 26th June 2019 | Arren

Warming up for their roadblock album launch this weekend, Stanton Warriors drop us a huge playlist.

Earlier this month the bosses of breaks & bass Stanton Warriors dropped another stellar album, Rise. It was, of course, a banging load of tunes that featured some mad collabs. This weekend the Warriors will be hosting the album's launch party at the mighty Fabric.

More about 'Rise' on Guestlist

Taking over Room 1, Stanton Warriors will give the LP a proper introduction with Orbital’s Phil Hartnoll, Kosheen’s Sian Evans, Hybrid, Plump DJs, Scratch Perverts and Aurbs all gracing the decks as well. Meanwhile over in Room 2 the Warriors' label Punks Music will be holding things down with a tight selection of their artist roaster.

Ahead of the massive album launch, the Stanton Warriors have hand-picked their current top 5 tunes. These are some heavy tunes that'll proper go off this Friday. If you weren’t in the mood already you definitely will be now!

Left / Right, Dread MC, & Bodyblow - One Two

Dread MC has a great voice for hooks! Here, Dallas bass dude Left/Right straddles that line between bass and breaks and comes up with a simple, yet effective, dark late night groover.

Emalkay - Angie Got Stoned (My Nu Leng Remix)

The My Nu Leng boys turn in this deep breakbeat 4am smoker of a remix. Different to a lot of their output, thus showing their flexibility to make dance-floor movers of different styles and vibes.

Bombo Rosa - Jarina

Brazilian bass kingpins deliver their own latin fused take on modern day Favela Funk. This tunes drops hard and has an underpinned bass that shakes up foundations. Definitely a unique style and a crew to watch out for.

Foundry - Papa

Stripped down beat roller made for the kinda sound system that Fabric has. Less is definitely more with these guys and you really notice it on this one when it's played loud! It's not always about peak time bangers!

Bicep - Glue

Such a classic track. We have done a lil edit of it to fit with our sets but have pretty much kept it how it is. Dropped at the right moment, this track can give you goose pimples and invoke old rave memories right there on the dance-floor!
