Fabio & Grooverider release huge RAGE compilation

Drum and Bass | Monday 10th June 2019 | Arren

Fabio & Grooverider trace the origins of drum & bass in new compilation album, Rage.

It’s been 30 years since the seminal weekly club night RAGE launched. Smashing the carnivorous hall of Heaven every Thursday, Fabio & Grooverider with residents laid down groundbreaking mixes of acid, techno, breakbeat, house, hardcore and jungle - all of which merged to create drum & bass and secured Fabio & Grooverider’s legendary status in the UK music scene.

Celebrating RAGE's legacy Fabio & Grooverider have compiled a 32 track album, capturing the raw energy of those early days in UK bass’ history. They’ve handpicked an insane collection of the most influential and game-changing records that saw Heaven packed out week in, week out and ultimately shaped drum & bass as we know it today.

Coming as four seperate double vinyl LPs or a double CD, digitally and streamed, all archiving RAGE’s rich musical history. Highlights include Wots My Code’s ‘Dubplate’, Richie Hawtin’s Cybersonik’s ‘Technarchy’,  and Q-Project’s ‘Champion Sound’.

The first instalment of RAGE is out now on Above Board Projects, grab your copy here. Part two will follow on June 21st.
