Friction goes ham in latest EP

Drum and Bass | Wednesday 29th May 2019 | Arren

Following his hard hitting Connections album last September, the Shogun/Elevate boss is back with the Disconnected EP.

The dust has settled since Connections and Friction is back with fresh music aimed directly at the floor. He makes his return with a massive 4 tracker, specifically tailored to mash things up in the clubs.

Kicking off with ‘Lost It Mode’ featuring Linguistics, Friction sets the tone. Big bass, heavy drops - it’s an upfront drum & bass smasher. ‘Music House’ follows suit, deploying a killer bassline and a few cheeky jungle vibes thrown in. Up next Friction goes head to head with Turno. The pair have crafted a killer peak hours tune, sure to be a highlight in sets for months. Closing the EP off with as much energy as it started, Friction get gritty with ‘Spurge’ - another peak time banger. It's a snapshot of what you’ll catch Friction doing every weekend, absolutely having it.

Speaking about the EP, Friction said: “The plan with the Disconnected EP was to create a ’No Holds Barred’ project that was purely designed to cause destruction on the dance floor. A track from Linguistics and I has been a long time coming. Also excited about the track with Turno. We’ve been working on a few bits so I’m really pleased we got this one finished.”
