Graham Gold's 5 reasons Mad Hatter's Trance Party will go off

House | Monday 20th May 2019 | Arren

Graham Gold brings the goods ahead of his appearance at Egg LDN’s Mad Hatter Trance day party.

A true icon of the UK dance scene. He hosted on Kiss FM between 1990 to 2004, sold over 700,000 mix albums, received 6 Gold Discs by BPI and notched up 5 years in the DJ Mag Top 40, Gold has certainly earned his stripes as a DJ.

These days he resides in Koh Phangan, Thailand. Here his DJ sets have evolved to include a sweet selection of deep house, progressive, melodic techno and, of course trance. His productions too have evolved, which has completed his transition from top tier trance DJ to serious underground DJ. His energetic sets are much sought over all over the place, and with such a long history and a diverse collection of records it’s no wonder.

Soon Gold will be back in London as he’s been billed for Flotation’s daytime Mad Hatter Trance Party on June 15th at Egg LDN. He’s joined by huge artists including Orjan Nilsen, Mark Sixma and Marcel Woods. He himself will be playing twice, once in the main room and again in the loft in the Trance Classic’s space.

Hyping us up ahead of the event Gold has shared 5 tunes in dominating his crates right now. As expected they're all killer cuts!

For Real - Oxia, Artslaves

More minimal that you would usually hear from Oxia but the melodies are still there!

Warrior - Paul Nolan

Chunky progressive house, sounding faster than the 120bpm tag would have you believe… Big soaring synths, it’s a real peak time winner and pretty trancey actually!

Urania - Teenage Mutants & Moonwalk

Been around a couple of months but still love it 'cos of the phat psy bass line-progressive techno at its perfection pretty much!

After Midnight (Florian Kruse Remix) - Christian Nielsen

Just like the previous three I mentioned, this is another track on a label that’s run by one of the biggest DJs out there - this time it’s on Dave Seaman’s Selador label. Have been playing Florian’s tracks for a while, and he turns in one of his more energetic progressive remixes on this beauty.

Spulig - Graham Gold & Jordan Bordes

I am really concentrating on producing right now and this is one of 4 tracks I’ve finished recently and is about to drop. It’s a collab with a great U.S DJ, Jourdan Bordes. ‘Spulig' is German for trippy by the way! File under Melodic Techno.
