Junction 2 back and bigger with an extra day!
Wednesday 20th February 2019 | Becky
Hope none of you have booked a holiday for the second weekend in June because you won’t find a party hotter than this year’s Junction 2 festival….
Not even Ibiza could top this line up and you only have to drive down the m4 to get there!
Hosted at Boston Manor Park, the festival site will be transformed into an industrial playground, dominated by five dancefloors that will have you bopping all night.
Friday’s line up is massive! Main stage is dominated by an elect mix of electronic masterminds. Fort Romeau will get you warmed up with some ambient house, Bicep will be sure to deliver some sick disco mixes and Mr.G will be bringing very spectacular selectors set to get you in the groove.
Fabric will be there marking their 20-year anniversary with fabric XX hosting at The Bridge. Ricardo Villalbos, DJ Koze, Dixon and S_AS are all making appearances. And don’t forget long standing resident Craig Richards who will be playing his first of two sets at the festival. Phonica Records will be hosting a steamy line up on The Stretch stage with the Motor City Drum Ensemble and Jeremy Underground leaving you buzzing for more. If that’s not your thing hit up The Warehouse for some glitchy IDM from Daniel Avery, and some slick Dj Stingray. If your adventurous enough to stumble across The Woods you will find a sick B2B set from Call Super and Shanti Celeste followed by Ben UFO who is sure to knock your socks off.
Keeping up the momentum Saturday brings us a wildly anticipated B2B set to Main Stage between techno masters Maceo Plex and Tale Of Us followed by Afterlife legend VAAL and the immersive electronica of Max Cooper. The Bridge will welcome some of fabrics finest talent including Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati and topping the night off with Richie Hawtin.
The Stretch will host some of Europe’s hottest selectors, with some gritty house from Loco Dice and tINI and if that doesn’t tickle your fancy maybe some deep acid from Apollonia will get you off your feet. Big shot Dax J hits up the Warehouse setting you off with some raw techno. VBX will be rounding things up in The Woods on Saturday, where you can witness the return of Amsterdam’s finest San Proper and fabric’s finest Craig Richards, who are set to B2B again this year after a spectacular performance at last year’s Junction 2. We can’t wait to witness round two of this epic sonic battle.
Keeping the focus on quality electronic music, the all-day dancefloor homage offers a vast spectrum of sonic escapades to take your ears on an adventure they’ve not experienced before. We guarantee your feet will not stop moving.
