Cult Of The Damned set to dominate the Jazz Cafe

RnB/Hip Hop | Tuesday 19th February 2019 | Phil

It may be no small coincidence that the rise of the Cult Of The Damned has mirrored the ongoing resurgence of our native hip hop scene.

Originally formed in 2006 and known for what could only be described as a raw and uncompromising approach to hip hop, the full COTD lineup is the result of the amalgamation of two crews, making for a twelve strong team. With star players Lee Scott and Black Josh maintaining a near constant output in the last few years, they stay well supported by their Blah brothers-in-arms Milkavelli, Sniff, Stinkin Slumrok, Bisk, King Grubb, Bill Shakes, Barebase, Sly Moon, Salar, and Tony Broke.

Having secured themselves as heavyweights of the scene with their first two records 'Tourettes Camp' (2007) and 'Brick Pelican' (2009), the COTD super crew reshuffled their ranks in 2015 to include more artists from the Blah Records roster, culminating in the release of their full length LP in 2018, 'Part Deux: Brick Pelican Posse Crew Gang Syndicate', a record that further cemented both their well loved, highly original signature sound as well as their status as one of the most acclaimed crews around.

A rare chance to catch up with the full Cult line up in London town with both crew and solo performances, the night promises to be a proper blinder, so get your hiney down to the Jazz Cafe on 28th Feburary for some super sw£ggin Blah Records action.
