Break gives us Another Way

Drum and Bass | Tuesday 20th November 2018 | Arren

Delivering his 5th studio album, Break smashes all expectations with another masterpiece.

It’s always big news when the elusive Break drops new material. The last couple of months the drum & bass community have been buzzing for his latest LP, Another Way. Finally dropping on 16th November, a rollercoaster listen has been laid down over 12 tracks.

There’s no gimmicks, this is the real deal. An uncompromising selection of tunes that taps deep into the musical mind of one of bass music’s most talented producers. In classic Break form, rolling riddims move across the piece as elements of funk and reggae get mashed with his famed face-melting basslines.

Opening with the funk laden ‘Last Goodbye’ with Celestine, you’d be forgiven for thinking Break might be taking it easy, though once the second track ‘Keepin It Raw’ drops you know it’s usual business. Break has worked in some sick collabs with Total Science and DLR and sick vocals from Kyo, Fats Celestine and MC works from Clevelend Watkiss and GQ.

One of the best producers in the game, the Symmetry boss has long been hailed as a hero by bass heads the world over and for good reason. Known for his stripped back style with an exceptional ear for bass, his tracks have been appearing in most DJ’s sets for over a decade. This latest set of tracks will be no different.
