Pioneering US grime label Slit Jockey drops brand new EP from KOROstyle

Grime | Tuesday 10th April 2018 | Alex

Philadelphia's Slit Jockey Records is known for its open-minded roster, working with artists from around the world across a range of tempos and styles who are united by an up-front, bass-heavy approach to music production.

Its latest offering comes from KOROstyle, real name Sadyr Diouf, a young Frenchman of Senegalese descent whose background lies in the hip-hop traditions of breakdance, music and graffiti.

On this EP, titled Arkana, KOROstyle flexes his 140 BPM credentials, delivering three tracks that unite the brooding intensity and atmospherics of dubstep with grime's harsh urgency.

Check opening track 'The Raid' below, and hear 'I Get' and 'Keeper of Time' over on the Slit Jockey Records Soundcloud. The EP is available to buy now over at Bleep.
