Easter Weekend At Egg London - with Idris Elba, Low Steppa, Unusual Suspects Ibiza & Low Frequencies

House | Tuesday 28th March 2017 | Nicky

Not since NYE and NYD has London's dynamic and diverse club scene galvanised itself for a marathon party session and with the long Easter weekend - bank holidays falling Friday April 14th and Monday 17th - it’s time to party every night across the capital from Thursday 13th onwards.

In firing club form, Egg London has three parties in the works, starting with their Easter Special on the Thursday April 13th with Idris Elba back by popular demand.

Anyone who's familiar with Elba knows that his roots are based firmly in music and he’s re-ignited his love for DJing with high profile sets all over the world including stints at Glastonbury, Ibiza Rocks, Pacha, and he's even toured with Madonna!

Best known for his acting roles which have seem him tackle everything from hardened cop, ‘Luther’ to Baltimore gangster, Stringer Bell in ‘The Wire’ His rugged, affable charm has seen him launch his own Nelson Mandela inspired ‘Mi Mandela’ LP and the ‘Murdah Loves John’ album also.

Also joining him will be Low Steppa and Tommy Vercetti. Since emerging in 2013 with his explosive bootleg of Route 94’s ‘My Love' having clocked up over 2.75 million plays on SoundCloud and becoming a regular feature on Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1 Xtra, Low Steppa has rapidly made a name for himself as a pioneer of the bass house musical revolution.

Tommy Vercetti (aka Tom Cox) is barely out of his twenties but has already secured his reputation as a rising star thanks to releases on 'Do Not Sleep', 'Simma Black' and 'Definition'. Already tipped in Eton Messy’s Top Five to watch, expect to hear his name more often in 2017.

Whereas Friday the 14th sees Belgium’s Lost Frequencies take over at Egg Presents, in implausibly high energy house style!

Belgium's Lost Frequencies (aka Felix De Laet) celebrates this Easter at Egg with a melody-enriched, big room house set.

Since topping charts around the world – including in the UK - and asking the question 'Are You With Me', the title of his 2014 hit, the answer has emphatically been 'Yes'!

After releasing follow-ups 'Reality' and 'Beautiful Life', clocking up half a billion plays on Spotify and being crowned gold, platinum and double platinum in a few dozen countries, last year proved another defining year for Lost Frequencies.

Having also remixed Major Lazer and Justin Bieber's 'Cold Water', expect him to have all these tracks in his bag, plus a whole load of surprises pointing towards the sound of summer 2017.

While Saturday the 15th sees the Unusual Suspects Ibiza team fly in for an Exclusive pre-season party with a blistering lineup that includes Oliver Huntemann, Thomas Melchior, Maayan Nidam, Valentino Kanzyani, Marina Karamarko, Rick Maia, Janina and many more.

After quickly becoming the toast of the Ibiza 2016 season, Unusual Suspects promise a Thursday night pounding filled with enticing house and techno, courtesy of some of the finest talent from across Europe and beyond.

Last year saw Romanian renegade, Rhadoo, Brouqade Records boss, Dana Ruh, and Israeli tastemaker Shlomi Aber behind the decks, and while this year’s line-up is still to come, you can expect more of the same this summer.

This year you can also experience Unusual Suspect Open Air being held on a few exclusive dates at Benimussa Park in Ibiza.

Tickets are available now, for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so what are you waiting for!
