"Let Me Explain" - Kevin Hart

Friday 5th July 2013 | Noelle

Guess who's back? In 2011 this comedian brought to you “Laugh at My Pain.” Where he spoke about his family, his father, growing up, the trials and tribulations he has faced, the death of his mother and many more. That's right, it's Kevin Hart.

In “Laugh at My Pain”, Mr Hart talks about his life; he talks about his kids, his dad and he goes into full details; that’s something other comedians don’t do, and he does this in a funny way. He even goes on to talk about his mother even though she lost a battle to cancer; most people would not want to even touch that topic.

Kevin Hart talks about his real life events and doesn’t make up stories like most comedians do, not many people or even comedians can stand in-front of a million people and talk about their life and expect them to laugh, because they might not find it funny. BUT Kevin Hart has a way of making it seem funny.

Now he’s back with his new movie “Let Me Explain”. Kevin Hart believes he has some unfinished business and has some explaining to do. In his new comedy; the actor/comedian talks about his personal life; he talks about his EX-wife and kids. Kevin Hart mines his marriage's breakup for material in a new stand-up comedy film; “Let Me Explain”. This thin documentary of a stand-up tour is aimed to present the comedian as an ascendant pop star.

Let Me Explain captures laughter, energy and mayhem from Hart’s 2012 tour, which spanned 10 countries and 80 cities; and generated over $32 million in ticket sales. Kevin Hart’s “Let Me Explain” tour was one of the most successful comedy tours of all time with more than 540,000 tickets sold. Both performances (London O2 Arena and New York’s Madison Square Garden) were both sold out.

Only six comedians have ever had a sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden; Andrew Dice Clay, Dane Cook, Chris Rock, Russell Peters, Eddie Murphy and Kevin Hart. Let Me Explain was filmed at a sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden, comedian Kevin Hart delivers material from his 2012 "Let Me Explain" concert tour.

In every Kevin Hart comedy show, he talks about his family in general. But the audience always leave thinking about one person; in Def Jam Comedy is was his late mother, In Laugh at My Pain is was his father, and now in Let Me Explain it is his Ex-wife. Someone stands out in every show.

It seems Mr Hart really does have a way of interacting with his audience and unveiling the events of his life in a funny way. Be sure to watch “Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain” in theatres from 3Rd July. I am sure you can get it online and on DVD as well.
