Lion: Dev Pavel Finds His Way Home
Lion (originally titled A Long Way Home) is an upcoming drama film directed by the Broadway’s acclaimed director Garth Davis and written by Luke Davies. The movie is based on the non-fiction book A Long Way Home by Saroo Brierley.
The story follows the dramatic outcomes of Saroo Brierley's life. He was seperated from his family at the age of five and was found and adopted by an Australian family. This terrible loss changed his life and he doesn't give up the search for his origins. He finally finds his parents at the age of 25 using Google Earth. Dev Patel stars as Saroo, Rooney Mara is Lucy, with Nicole Kidman as Sue Brierley and David Wenham, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Priyanka Bose, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Deenti Naval.
This incredible biopic will create so many tear jerking moments. Loss and a journey to find home; this is a truly emotional story.
The movie will premiere at the London Film Festival on October 12, and is scheduled to be released on 25th November. We're sure it will be nominated for multiple accolades this awards season.
