Kit Taps DJ Fen For UK Garage Banger 'Not Enough'
‘Not Enough’ is the massive new UK Garage dance floor smash from emerging South London singer, songwriter and musician Kit and veteran Garage producer DJ Fen (Ramsey & Fen). To be released on KAR Records on March 11 and premiered via Complex, ‘Not Enough’ is currently being championed by radio tastemakers Rinse FM, Capital Xtra, Kiss Fresh, and Bang Radio among others, and shelling down clubs up and down the country.
Taken from Kit’s forthcoming EP ‘Living Life’ which is due for release in May, ‘Not Enough’ sees the BRIT School graduate singing his heart out about an ill-fated rebound after a serious relationship gone wrong and struggling with the idea of new love, over the captivating and infectious bass-heavy musical backdrop courtesy of DJ Fen, with its superb UK Garage and House sensibilities.
A truly versatile artist with soulful sensibilities, Kit made his debut in 2013 with ‘BYOB’, before collaborating with Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, Jamiroquai, Cee Lo Green) on his 2014 single ‘Nonsense’, and releasing ‘Make Music’ last year to rave reviews - counting BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, Ministry Of Sound, and Fabric among tastemakers that have championed his latest records and collaborations.
In just under three years, Kit has taken his glorious live musicianship to renowned festivals and venues across the country, including the BBC Club Showcase, Secret Garden Party, Cornbury Festival, Westfield’s Presents, London Rocks and Marylebone Summer Fare, Kensington Roof Gardens, Ronnie Scott’s, Brighton Gay Pride and XOYO, with hundreds of gigs already under his belt.
Speaking about his new offering ‘Not Enough’, Kit says, “I wrote it with Joe Acres and guitarist Ben Mark at Cam Blackwoods’ studio in Clapham. Ben banged out the riff and the song pretty much wrote itself. We tapped DJ Fen for the remix but we loved his remix so much, that we had to make it the official single”. ‘Not Enough’ is out via KAR Records on March 11, enjoy it below.
