View drops icy new single 'Coldest Season'

RnB/Hip Hop | Thursday 18th February 2016 | Christina

Hot Finnish rapper View drops new single 'Coldest Season', out on February 26th via VILD Recordings.

Following the success of his debut EP Avalon and his LCMDF team-up track 'Lace', Helsinki based View - real name Juuso Ruohonen - has already made a name for himself in his homeland with his own brand of darkly hypnotic hip-hop, and now he's coming for the rest of us.

'Coldest Season' is the first single to be taken from View’s upcoming album, and he has revealed that the track explores how his life has changed since the release of his first EP, "It’s a song about the changes that I’ve been through in the past year...the core of the song is about me doing what I want, not what I’m expected to do”.

The cinematic visuals are the result of a collaboration between View's producer Joonas Laaksoharju and Matti Vesanen, who said that, "The idea for the visuals was to keep the minimalistic and dark mood as in View's earlier videos".

As well as his debut album in the works, View has been confirmed to play at Flow Festival this summer, as well as at The Lexington on 25th February alongside Smerz and CTM as part of Ja Ja Ja Music Presents: A Nordic Affair.
