Mala to release super dub mix of Noches Suenos

Wednesday 19th June 2013 | jim

Mala in Cuba (2012) saw Mala travel to the far warmer climate of Havana, producing an album that was both steeped in the origins of Mala’s dub sound as well as the musicians of Cuba to which he had travelled. The remix is set to be released on Brownswood studios, the long time ambassadors for Gilles Peterson’s Cuba albums. The original Mala in Cuba album saw a blend of traditional Cuban vocals and instrumentation with the bass-heavy soundsystem style that is so synonymous with Mala’s sound.

The second track off the album was Noches Suenos, which featured the vocals of Danay Suarez. Mala then linked up with Simbad to create a nice, warm, deep, dub version of the original track. The 10” pressing will be extremely limited to only 1000 copies.

Check the song below and if you want to pre-order a song that is sure to sell out very quick then get over to Brownswood.
