The Positive for Youth Awards Takes the Stage in Shepherd's Bush

Other | Wednesday 21st October 2015 | Cais

Young people stepping up, expressing their creativity and taking action to do something positive is a huge part of making any community worth living in. Striving to recognise those young people actively going the extra mile to make that difference are the Positive for Youth Awards.

First started by the Legacy Project in 2012 and supported by Metropolis Studios and the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), the Positive for Youth Awards are back again in 2015 and ready to call out another group of young people for the good work they’ve done and the art they’ve created.

Since it’s creation, the Positive for Youth Awards has become so popular that last year’s winners and guests were even invited to the Houses of Parliament to receive their awards.

In 2015 the Positive for Youth Awards will take the stage at Bush Hall in Shepherd’s Bush on 23rd October to put on a day of workshops, sessions and mentoring.

Set to follow the day’s events is the actual award show where Head of Creative Industry Development at ACM and Skunk Anansie guitarist Martin ‘Ace’ Kent will present the coveted award for ‘Inspirational Lyrics,’ which includes a day of recording at Metropolis Studios in London along with a producer and session musicians.

ACM and Metropolis are big believers in helping young and creative artists get noticed for achieving something positive and are committed to giving the winning artist the chance to develop and advance their work even further.

They believe that the world can be a better place if we want it to be so lets do something for our communities, do something positive for youth.
