BIGBANG's 'Bae Bae' is their strangest video yet!

Other | Saturday 2nd May 2015 | Rhea

If you thought PSY’s special brand of strangeness was the weirdest thing K-Pop has to offer us, you should check out BIGBANG’s latest music video from their upcoming studio album MADE. ‘Bae Bae’ is a crazy colourful clusterf*ck of sexual references from suspicious looking flowers to… flying rice cakes? Okay, so maybe a little imagination may be needed to get on board with the deeper meanings. Group member Taeyang takes a stroll through his own cowboy western setting on horseback with a woman seductively stroking his face, clearly unfazed by the oddly situated cherry blossom trees. TOP is dressed in a Joker-esque get-up squirting a syringe full of  *ahem* white liquid, into another lady’s face. Remaining members GD, Daesung and Seungri have equally interesting romps with women in equally interesting places and it all ends with a huge group game of ring around the roses on the moon.

Having been three years since their last studio album, its definitely been a long time coming for one of the biggest names in K-Pop. 2012's Alive made Korean pop history as the first K-pop album to ever chart in the Billboard 200. One hugely successful single from the album Fantastic Baby even featured in an episode of Glee and has a video just as amazingly wild as ‘Bae Bae’. Whilst patiently awaiting the upcoming album’s drop fans have been flooding group member TOP’s new Instagram page, which has manage to gain a million followers in two weeks. For those who can’t wait until September for the album release, don’t fret! A worldwide tour has already been announced along with a special trailer available to see here!
