Beres Hammond Album

One Love, One Life, the new album from legendary reggae singer Beres Hammond, has topped the U.S. Billboard Charts after being in the Top 5 for almost 6 weeks.

The success comes after his December 12 Barclays Arena performance in Brooklyn, and his December 14 performance at the Hard Rock Cafe in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Beres also made his late night television debut when he appeared with afrocentric hip-hop heavyweights, The Roots, on NBC Network’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on December 11.

"Beres' touring and the national media exposure played a major role in this increase" states Aaron Talbert, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for VP Records. "CD sales at the venues and the in store appearances in New York and Miami really put the album in front of the fans", he adds.

"We hope to continue the momentum through Christmas and into 2013. We are happy and proud to see Beres at the top of the chart", states VP Records President Chris Chin.

One Love One Life is also doing well on this side of the pond, reaching number 4 last week in the Top 100 Reggae Artist Album Charts.

Considering this is Hammond's first studio album since 2008’s One Moment In Time, the success of One Love One Life is impressive. Beres co-produced 19 of the 20 tracks on the new album, which is a double disc release. Disc one, One Love, features Beres classic lover's rock sound on tracks such as "In My Arms", "No Candle Light" and "Keep Me Warm" while disc two One Life is filled with the kind of socially-conscious, spiritually empowering music which has become synonymous with Beres Hammond over the course of his career. This is especially evident on the standout tracks, "You Stand Alone", "Truth Will Live On" and "Prime Time".
