The Smiths Will Reform in 2013

Indie | Monday 1st October 2012 | Osh

Holymoly.com has reported that the Smiths will reform in 2013, potentially to headline the Pyramid Stage in Glastonbury amongst a four date tour.

The news comes just shortly after Morrissey revealed that the organisers for Coachella offered to turn the festival completely vegetarian in order for a reunion between himself and guitar player Johnny Marr but with no mention for the former bass player and drummer of the band.

The Smiths arose as the indie cult heroes of the 80s, championed as the students’ favourite since then. Marr and Morrissey split back in 1987 after personal tensions between the two reached breaking point and both have since stated a reformation was unlikely to happen. Despite this Marr recently went onto tweet that if Labour could out the current Conservative government he would reform the Smiths, receiving a reply from Prescott. The statement will have been taken as a personal blow for supposed Smiths fan David Cameron.

The Smiths have been offered millions of dollars to reform  on countless occasions and a completely meat free festival for strict vegetarian Morrissey,  therefore I can’t help but question the validity of these rumours but if they are true I certainly won’t be half a person anymore.
