Slovakia

I could bet that the majority of you do not really know where Slovakia lies. Slovakia can be referred to as one of the best kept secrets of Europe. Slovakia is a small country but with so many big treasures you had no idea about. Out of many, I just state few reasons for you to pay a visit to Slovakia:

History- Whether its 18th century wood churches, the ancient log cottages, or the many castles and ruins scattered across the country, Slovakia’s history and culture are worth indulging in.

Nature – Nature of Slovakia is breath-taking, offering many nice places throughout the country. Mountain range may not be as high or as popular as the Alps nearby, but its alpine climate, majestic mountain peaks and numerous lakes and waterfalls make it a worthy destination. It offers opportunities for various recreational activities, too, like trekking, cycling, golfing or wildlife watching and swimming in the summer and skiing during winter. The caves in Slovakia are also remarkable sights.

Prices – In comparison with other European countries, Slovakia is still a lot cheaper.

Good alcohol – Whether your poison is beer, wine, or the hard stuff, Slovakia has you covered and all at a reasonable price. But I warn you, the Slovaks would not let you stop drinking.

Nice girls- for all the guys, this could be probably the only reason needed to visit Slovakia. It is said that Slovak girls belong to the most beautiful women in the world.

Traditions- Slovakians cherish their traditions and are known for their creativity, which is evident in their folk handicrafts that make great souvenirs when you visit Slovakia.

There are many more reasons why to visit Slovakia. But the best is to see it with your own eyes so don’t hesitate, Slovakia is definitely place to see.
