The opera La bohème composed by Giacomo Puccini to an italian libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, is based on Scènes de la vie de bohème by Henri Murger. The opera is divided in four acts portraying young bohemians living in the Latin Quarter of Paris in the 1840s.
