Guestlist Recommends - Trevino
Veteran Producer, Promoter, and label chief, Marcus Intalex has released quality music under different guises and his latest house-techno creation - Trevino, does not disappoint. Heavily influenced in the early nineties from across the pond by Derrick May and the Detroit rave scene, Marcus has managed to incorporate this into his Trevino productions. It can be audibly appreciated when listening to tracks 'Chip', 'Derelict' and 'Tweakonomics'. The strongest reference can be heard in track 'Tweakonomics' where there it is clear to hear some of the old acid house scene and the industrial surroundings in which the movement took place. His sound is unique in the way it fuses the old school rave sound with a fresh take on the current house and techno that is being produced by many artists today. It is fair to say that the combination works amazingly well and if you rifle your way through his back catalogue, you might just end up digging out your white gloves and boiler suit and having an good old school rave with a new school twist.
