Review of an up and coming house night in London

House | Tuesday 10th September 2013 | Steve

All aboard the Ark

'The Ark' originally evolved from a club night held in Brighton to celebrate Sir David Attenborough's 80th birthday. After the huge success of these nights they are now bringing their very own wild clubbing experience to the Amersham Arms, New Cross Road, on the 05/10/2013. Designed for house music lovers who enjoy the fun and creative side of the clubbing scene. It is a far cry from the well polished commercial house nights that you can find in London on any given weekend.

This event has been created with students in mind. Aimed at those of you who enjoy partying hard during freshers week, or in some cases even weeks! The Ark encourage's everyone to dress up as animals in any size, shape or form, from animal hats to full blown costumes, allowing you to let your inner animal out in a relaxed and fun environment, with like minded ravers.

Although not compulsory, wearing costumes when raving obviously creates an entertaining environment along with a great visual experience, this is of course not for everyone. For the more serious music minded raver, rest assured that the music being delivered on the night has certainly not been taken lightly.

If you love your house music along with its sub-genres, then the tunes from up and coming London based record label APEXAPE Records will certainly not disappoint. Featuring some of the latest up and coming DJs on the house music circuit including headliners 'Soul Circuit'. This dynamic duo are the latest talent on the rise from south-east London, consisting of DJ/Producers TT & PDZ. This year has already seen their latest remix catch the attention of Radio 1 DJ B Traits. They will be dropping tunes from heavyweights such as Dusky, Lil Silva and Claude Von Stroke.

Also on the line-up is Bristol and London based duo Benny Kane & Dr. Specs AKA Urban Knights. They have experienced some major hype lately due to their releases on Quantum and Top Billin. They have recently had success as the feature mix on Mistajam's Radio 1 Extra show and have also caught the attention of Toddler T with their remix of Julio Bashmoor's 'Au Seve' track.

If you are interested in experiencing something a little different from the average London clubbing experience, then this is most definitely the event for you and your mates to get involved in and go wild!
