Bonkaz’s anthem ‘We Run The Block’, out on June 8th via Pitched Up, has finally hit the Internet. Bonkaz’s bold decision to keep his new single offline for as long as possible, limiting the track to live performances and exclusive radio and club play has led to #WeRunTheBlock to go viral across social media, as fans frantically search for the audio. Produced by the biggest hit-makers of the moment, The Heavytrackerz, ‘We Run The Block’ is a fiery, grime-influenced track that has received massive support from the likes of Huw Stephens, Charlie Sloth, Mistajam and DJ Target on Radio 1 plus heavy rotation from BBC 1Xtra DJ’s Sian Anderson, Semtex and DJ Cameo.
Bonkaz has become one of the ambassadors for the “new generation” due to his forward thinking and love for the craft. He has become the first artist, alongside four producers, signed to the Sony imprint Pitched Up, founded by DJ Target and Danny Weed. The future definitely holds big things for Bonkaz.
