Exclamation Pony - Cribs singer's new gig is a hit

Relocating to New York obviously suits Ryan Jarman. The Cribs front man and one half of new indie-pop outfit Exclamation Pony, has joined up with Jen Turner (formerly of Here We Go Magic) to lay down new track ‘Rumours’. Available to download for free via SoundCloud.
At first listen it sounds incredibly like a Strokes tune, circa Is This It, complete with Casablancas-esque crooning, and those beautifully familiar riffs. So it’s no surprise that although it’s early days for the collaboration, they have already received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Preparing to play at tonight’s leg of the NME Awards Shows as we speak, Exclamation Pony seem to be bringing indie back to its roots. This is absolutely the remedy for old-school fans shaking in their boots about direction of The Strokes upcoming album.
