Nude Protest Causes Havoc in Tower Bridge

Tourists were in for a shock yesterday, when Ukrainian feminist group Femen staged a nude protest near Tower Bridge.
The group were condemning the ‘Islamic regimes’ which they believe are being encouraged by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Many of the topless activists carried messages on their chests such as ‘no sharia’, ‘olympic shame’ and ‘speed raping’. In a statement from Femen, it was claimed that the “Islamist governments use the participation of women in the Olympic games to hide thousands of victims and dead.”
Four women were arrested at the protest near City Hall and are currently in custody. The Femen activists claim that they support ideas of 'leadership, intellectual and moral qualities of the young women in Ukraine' and aim to 'build up the image of Ukraine... with great opportunities for women'. Femen have become reasonably notorious for their topless demonstrations. In February this year during Milan Fashion Week, the group outlined their anger towards anorexic models.
