Amy Winehouse and Tony Bennett collaboration appears online

The TGN office was buzzing after seeing a short clip of a duet between lately deceased musical legend Amy Winehouse and Jazz king Tony Bennett which has appeared online. The track ‘Body and Soul’ is set to be released on 20th September, the proceeds of which will go to the foundation set up by Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s dad. Tony Bennett will also include it on his forthcoming Duet’s album.
The track was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios last March – one of Winehouse’s last recordings before her tragic death in July. Her dad Mitch said he “couldn’t be happier” about the release, which Amy fans have been eager to hear since her death. He said her voice sounds “as amazing and beautiful as ever” and the fact that she is collaborating with Tony Bennett “seems the most fitting tribute” to her and her life. According to Mitch, Amy was ecstatic to be working with the Jazz legend as well as looking forward to her fans hearing the new track.
