I Am A Camera remix Beyonce's 'Pretty Hurts'

This fresh remix sees I Am A Camera chop up Beyonce's poignant lyrics – “Mama said you’re a pretty girl, what’s in your head, it’s doesn’t matter” - and give them a sweet melody to sing along to, transforming the song in a way which compliments both Beyoncé’s soaring voice and the after-school-special message of the song.
The original track is made up of a somewhat tired formula (Sorry, Bey), and was originally offered to Katy Perry and Rihanna, if that gives you any sort of indication of what it would have sounded like – but I AM A CAMERA, made up of Mancunian Francesca Ross and Northern Irishman Ian Watt, have turned it into a refreshing dance track worthy of any dancefloor.
Best of all, this remix comes with an official Team Beyoncé stamp of approval. The band were approached by the singer’s musical curator to mix up their own version Pretty Hurts. In a statement, the band said: “Beyoncé is one of our favourite artists of all time and a true icon. Working with Beyoncé’s vocals has got to be one of the most surreal and exciting moments in our career so far. Surfboard.”
