StreetFest hits the streets for 2014

The Uk’s No.1 urban culture festival returns bigger & better for the 7th year! Alive with an eclectic mix of music, art, dance, sport, fashion & fun for all to enjoy!
2014 sees StreetFest take over an incredible new East London venue, with the impressive backdrop of the Olympic Stadium, incorporating a 5550 sq metre outdoor space, warehouse & a stunning roof terrace overlooking the entire festival! With the classic StreetFest mix of music, art, dance and skate and a couple of extra tricks up their sleeve for 2014 this year is set to be bigger than ever. It’s renowned for discovering and showcasing the NEXT BIG THING. Musically, StreetFestchallenges the norm and offers a platform to shine to emerging talent.
MUSIC
Once again, the event has a fantastic line up with Ms Dynamite and Goldie headlining the Addidas Stage!
With an enviable career spanning over 12 years, Ms. Dynamite has won two Brit Awards, three MOBO awards and went down in history in 2002 as the first ever solo black female artist to win the Mercury Music Prize, an impressive feat for any artist!
Most recently, Ms. Dynamite has collaborated with the likes of Shy FX, Disclosure, DJ Fresh, Laidback Luke and Labrinth in wake of her current UK tour which see’s her performing alongside Union J and Katy B. Appearing on the same stage, is electronic music pioneer Goldie - not only renowned for his legendary MetalHeadz label & club nights, Goldie has also made a name for himself as a DJ, actor, celebrated graffiti artist and break-dancer, so his synergy with the StreetFest movement is unrivalled.
Elsewhere on the music line up, there will be performances from the likes of True Tiger, DJ Woody (Hip-Hop is 40 AV show), Amplify Dot, The Beat Box Collective, Dionne Reid, Greeds and Kid Circus across three music stages, bringing an eclectic mix to suit any palette!
Elsewhere, the ‘Unsigned London’ stage, hosted by Music is Remedy showcasing the very best in emerging talent, with DivaGeek, Hollie McNish, G.R.E.E.d.S, Dionne Reid, The Remedies plus many TBA.
New for 2014 we also have the Plug In To Perform stage, a platform for the hottest new electronic acts.
ART
The urban backdrop of Streetfest is transformed throughout the day by over 30 international graffiti & street artists, creating a colourful kaleidescope of murals in & around the festival. Artists on the day include Clog2, 2RISE, Rmer, Dank, DEP, Suzko , Brave1, Noir, Vodker, Artista, Hush, Zina & Tony Riff.
Secret Walls, the world’s premier art battle will be pens at the ready featuring 2 teams furiously competing in timed tournaments. Alongside various open creative workshops & activities for all ages and abilities inviting YOU to participate on the day.
DANCE
Our dedicated dance platform, curated by bSUPREME will deliver high energy battles & dance offs (Bonnie & Clyde, 3 vs. 3, Bgirl) with some of Europes finest bboys and bgirls, plus extra special performances from Myself UK & Parkour Dance.Plus you can learn how to do some of your favourite moves on the day! Beats provided by DJ Jam Fu.
SPORT
Witness professional skaters hit the half pipes for the Red Bull mini ramp competition! Alongside Kingdom (inline) UK BMX champions & Voodoo Unicycles pulling off the trickiest of stunts & aerial aerobatics across obstacles, ramps & pipes. Expect grinding, grabbing and gravity defying to wow the crowds. The final of the regional Game of S.K.A.T.E heats – a street based skateboarding game of skill, will also take place on the day.
MARKET
TogetherTheyCome will be programming their exclusive food, fashion & arts market at StreetFest, brimming with fantastic original clothing, prints and accessories from creative brands like Mayamada, 4649 Worldwide, BrahBoys, VA Garments & Clove Clothing. Grab those ‘one-off’ garms here! Plus delicious international street food from Londons celebrated vendors Pop Dogs, The Joint, Mama’s Jerk, Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen, Thai Laos Kitchen, Sweet Tooth Factory & more!
If all of that isn’t enough of a reason to come and check us out then there will be Photobooths, Digital Graffiti Walls, Nail Art Bar, Pop –up fashion makeover station, live tattooing, kids stuff, a beach cocktail bar….. and well - you will just have to wait and see!!
