Following the split with Sankeys, Darius Syrossian announces his new Ibiza plans

House | Thursday 30th April 2015 | Arren

Darius Syrossian has had to make alternative arrangements for 2015's Ibiza summer season and the details are finally here!

The outspoken resident split with Sankeys after raising the issue of Sankeys overselling tickets to events and then turning people away. Not impressed with his reaction, which allegedly brought the brand into “disrepute”, Sankeys sacked their long-standing Tribal Sessions resident. Following the surprising move, his fellow residents, Sidney Charles and Santé sided with him and refused to play at Sankeys again citing #BROSOVEREUROS.

ANNOUNCEMENT! After careful deliberation, we, Santé & Sidney Charles, have decided to renounce the opportunity of playing at Sankeys Ibiza this summer. We leave a fantastic crowd and a great club with a heavy heart, but we strongly value our friendship with Darius and prioritize it over everything else. He was the one who brought us into the fold, and it wouldn’t feel right to play there without him, especially considering the circumstances surrounding his departure. All upcoming dates with Darius Syrossian, Santé and me, besides the Sankeys show on May 1st are still happening.

Road to Ibiza:
17.04 - Halo, Bournemouth
18.04 - Liquid Room, Edinburgh
23.04 - Mint Warehouse, Leeds
24.04 - Motion, Bristol
25.04 - Switch, Southampton
02.05 - The Arch, Brighton
03.05 - Glas, Birmingham
08.05 - Culture Club , Ghent
09.05 - Westerunie, Amsterdam
13.05 - Palais de Tokyo, Paris
15.05 - Barcelona (tbc)
16.05 - Deep, Madrid

We will soon announce more info regarding our Ibiza shows. We hope you understand our decision and look forward to seeing you on dancefloors around the world this summer. Stay tuned and remember… #BROSOVEREUROS !!

Darius's departure from Tribal Sessions has left a void in Ibiza. Although the event is set to continue, it was his residence that was causing quite a stir on the White Isle, with his sets were going down in the history books and earning him the title of Best Resident DJ in 2014 from DJ Mag.

Thankfully this isn't the end of the road, for Darius has teamed up with his bros, Sidney Charles and Santé to bring Ibiza a new night,  Do Not Sleep. The new venture takes place on Sundays at Vista, located in the grounds of the superclub Privilege, and has caused a collective sigh of relief for those hoping to catch last year's best resident this summer. Hopefully this time the club and DJs will get along!
