Hear the new High Contrast, Sikka, and DJ Limited tunes

Drum and Bass | Sunday 10th April 2016 | Arren

This weeks playlist of the best drum & bass.

High Contrast - Remind Me [3 Beat]

The lord of liquid is back, and just in time for summer. Remind Me is classic High Contrast, a delicate liquid roller with a beautiful vocal. It's a proper hands in the air track that will no doubt set off some of those unforgettable festival moments this season. Stunning work Mr Contrast!

Boston - Panoramic [Symmetry]

Boston is back on Break's Symmetry for the third time, and it's easy to understand why. His precision rolling style sits comfortable on the imprint. The Panoramic EP crams different musical flavours into his tracks with guitars, pianos, trumpets and uplifting vocals. Combine these with his crisp productions leads to some blissful listening.

Sikka - The Sikkest EP part 2 [Formation]

After part one caused some serious damage, Sikka provides us with round two of his Sikkest EP. Once again the energy levels are high as Sikka smashes through all the sub genres making it look easy. Some proper rowdy shit, definitely not for the faint hearted.

DJ Limited - Bass 12 EP [Smokin Riddims]

Following his huge outing on Sigma's Life Recordings, Norwich's DJ Limited is back this time on more familiar territory. He steps up for Jaydan's Smokin Riddims for a four tracked killer. He cruises across the realms of jump up, tech and liquid effortlessly. Another powerful release.

Check out why DJ Limited is one to watch

Suv - Refuge (feat. Prospekt) [Sema4]

The old skool veteran Suv has a fresh jungle drum & bass track, and this one's all for charity! Refuge is part of a bigger project from Sema4, also called Refuge. It's a smooth beat with a more than impressive trumpet sample, that's reminiscent of his earlier works on Full Cycle and V in the mid 90s. All proceeds will go to the British Red Cross

The Vanguard Project - The Vanguard Project Volume One [Spearhead]

The Spearhead boss, BCee teams up with Villem for a new musical venture. The Vanguard Project is the name and they've just dropped a huge EP with the sickest liquid right now. Warm basslines, clear cut drums and uplifting melodies are a plenty on this four tracked piece. Even better news than that it's only volume one!

Salaryman - Turn Up The Bass EP [Sub Slayers]

The Frenchman returns to Sub Slayers after a year away. It's a welcome return to the imprint, a perfect home for his dancefloor ready sound. Turn Up The Bass EP sees Salaryman bring three tracks that are packed with so much with energy. No surprises then that it's picked up some good support from top artists from Rene LaVice to Drumsound & Bassline Smith.

Jaydan - Special Technique [Dynamic Audio]

Bad assed, rude boy bass. The heavyweight jump up producer and Smokin' Riddims boss shows off his special technique with this flithy tune. Twisting and bending the bass tones, it's a classic jump up track from a master.

Suv & Jaxx / Bigga Star & Spreda - If You Know / Aura [Natty Dub]

The jungle crew return, this time with two killer cuts from two collabs. Suv & Jaxx have an upfront jungle laced drum & bass stomper. In similar vein is Bigga Star & Spreda’s ‘Aura’, giving that bass an extra dirty wonk.

Conduct - Bat Country / Beta’s Error [Blu Mar Ten]

Two powerful tunes on Blu Mar Ten from Conduct. Both taking an experimental route, ‘Bat Country’ mucks around with the drum patterns, though it’s ‘Beta’s Error’ that really pushes with deep bass sounds and uplifting melodies.
