The first of 4 EP’s in celebration of 100 releases from Brighton’s biggest drum & bass outlet. A wide range of the labels artist roster are responsible for the sounds that collectively sum up Shogun’s ethos.Ulterior Motive starts things off with his grotty cut ‘Radian’. Icicle & Proxima bring a heavy, neurofunked collab with their record ‘Stimulation’. Repping the soulful liquid is the incredible sounds of Technimatic’s ‘Transference’. Rounding off the first of 4 is Alix Perez sub destroying minimal reworking of Friction & Fourwards track ‘Battle Scars’. Now that’s how you kick off an EP series!

Brookes Brothers - Good To Me (feat. Majesty) [Viper]

Following their last anthem on Viper, the brothers are back with another beautiful track to add a little sparkle to your playlists. Entitled ‘Good To Me’ the boys bring back the funk and fun to production. A wholly musical track, working different layers of sound with each other. The track is full of positivity and good vibes, especially Majesty showing his talents supplying the vocals. Drafted for the remix is BMotion who melts the record down and makes a dancefloor monster from its bones.

Various Artists - Invisible 019 [Invisible]

Noisia’s Invisible Recordings have a huge compilation out. They don’t muck around enlisting Current Value, Hybris, Signal, Disprove & Subtension to provided the four tracks masterpiece. It’s a deep and dark trip into the twisted world of factory produced neurofunk. Across the EP you’ll be introduced to the strange happenings of Noisia’s intense style. Whether it's the mind bending Current Value track ‘Enticement’ or bass blasting ‘Mission Creep’ from Hybris, you release why Noisia and their labels are heading the neurofunk style.

Kabuki - Heist Flick [V]

Not long after his appearance on Boiler Room Berlin with dBridge & Zed Bias, a founding father of German drum & bass returns to V. It’s his first appearance on the imprint since his 2011 album. He’s back and shows the camp just what he’s got with two dancefloor smashers. Firstly teaming up with Serum, it’s a fist clenching, teeth grinding roller ‘Heist Flick’. Getting spacey, ‘Clash’ is a little more bouncy with a intergalactic riffs and wobbly basslines. A great return to the V camp.

Scartip - Slight Repercussions [Audio Addict]

This upcoming producer drops a huge singe on Hybrid’s Audio Addict. This Derby based producer lays down two records of completely different styles, the only similarity between the two is the incredible quality. First up is ‘Slight Repercussions’. As soon as it hits, you know it ain’t no joke. It’s dark warehouse vibe works well with the bold bassline and slick drums. On a half step tip is ‘Lime’ which soaks up flavours from a range of places including hip hop and grime.

Spectrem - Culture / Shaolin [Technique]

The Australian producer brings Technique his next single, that has a trip into the sounds of the Far East. The party tune, ‘Culture’ kicks off this release with a subtle sprinkal of the Far East over the electro bleeping bass and staduim filling drums. Taking the sounds a little deeper, ‘Shaolin’ with a slick liquid roller.

Vacuum - The Breakdown [Gun Audio]

Luxembourg basshead Vacuum took his clear cut style to Gun Audio. Showcasing his talents, the producer brought three of the most intense robotic jump up beats with two tools for DJs. ‘Ran Away’ crosses over the slick snare from neurofunk with his jump up bass blasts. Next up ‘Breakdown’ gurgles the bassline with a proper steppers beat. Rounding off is ‘Elements’ were Vacuum really ramps up the energy levels. Powerful stuff.

Hybris & Signs - Carousel / Rotor [Plasma Audio]

Another bass heavy release from Melbourne. This time they’ve enlisted two juggernauts of intense neurofunk to deliver the goodies. First in line is Hybris’ cinematic ‘Carousel’. An uplifting intro brings you up before the robotic steppers beat gets you shaking. Signs follows with a powerful tune ‘Rotor’. The intense track is an injection of energy to any set or playlist.

Vytol - Kennington [Ruffneck Ting]

Space aged jump up jungle drum & bass music is the vibe Vytol has gone for on his next project. The cosmic sounds and styles work a treat with the beefy jungle basslines and jump up drums. The prime example of this killer style is the title track ‘Kennington’ where the bassline will your head inside out. Big, bold and a little cheeky.

T>I - Roll The Tops [Co-Lab]

Stepping up for his debut on Heist’s Co-Lab, the master in bare basslines and clapping beats has a 6 tracked masterpiece. Over the years T>I has steadily raised the levels on his productions and this EP shows this. It’s jump up at its weirdest and most bare. But that’s just how we like it!
