Rich Lown and Band

For the very first time, local singer songwriter Rich Lown will be performing a special one off show with a full band. After making his White Rock Theatre stage debut 5 years ago as a support for Joan Armatrading, he was soon invited to share the stage with Joan on a further 15 occasions around the UK on her last major tour. Alongside making a name for himself up and down the country from Bristol to Essex and Cardiff to Bournemouth with his ‘Folky Rock tones’, he has managed to independently release two albums in that time with his most recent album ‘Brand New Start’ reaching as high as 15th in the iTunes Singer Songwriter charts.

Rich to this date has sold music to 32 countries round the globe, has claimed support from global chart topper Birdy, has his music regularly featured on TV and film and has shared the stage over the years with many names such as Toploader, Chris Difford, Ainsley Lister and of course Joan Armatrading. Most recently Rich has been nominated for the very first televised Unsigned Music Awards’ for ‘Best Solo Male’ and has been approached by British Airways to feature his song on a ‘Ones to Watch’ playlist within their entertainment system to be heard by 1 million people every month.

See what all the fuss is about for yourself as Rich plays a selection of songs from both his albums as well as a few well known surprises thrown in the mix. The night will be filmed and recorded for a live album scheduled for Summer 2017 release.
