The Pickle Factory with a.p.prods, Kashawar, Ajtim

Few DJs have an ear for obscure and exquisite electronics like a.p.prods and Kashawar. Prods, a Brescia-based collector whose musical style lies somewhere between stripped back garage, oddball house and strange & beautiful UK soundscapes, has gained a reputation as one of the burgeoning Northern Italian scene's most revered DJs. Also behind the perennially on-point Loft parties in his home town at Disco Volante, he's shared the booth - and regularly upstaged - guests such as Binh, Alex Picone and Onur Ozer.

He's joined by another über collector and hotly-tipped DJ, Kashawar. Based in the peaceful German countryside outside Frankfurt, Kash carries a reputation as a digger of near-unmatched pedigree, specialising in an intoxicating blend of screwed up 2-step, Golden Age electro, and various obscurities from the deepest depths of Discogs. He's a dab hand in the studio too, whose rich, propulsive releases for the likes of Auto Reply and his own label Black Puddle Productions have found their way into the record bags of many a big name DJ.

Support is lent by Ajtim, a talented young DJ from Trieste via Hackney. Having relocated to London a few years ago, Mitja took up residency working at Vinyl Pimp, a well-known second hand record shop based in Hackney Wick. Here, Mitja gained a vast knowledge of 4/4 music old and new, evident in mixes for the likes of Keep It Deep which expertly blend swinging minimal house, deep electro and breakbeat.
