Irish songstress Janet Devlin will bring her brand of lyrical folk music to the Forum’s Attic on Sunday 15th September 2013 with support from local London/Herts indie-acoustic duo Wayward Daughter.
The gig is in support of her debut album Hide & Seek, launched and released through Pledge Music in July 2013. On the album she wrote and recorded with Grammy and Ivor Novello Award winning songwriter and Producer Eliot Kennedy as well as co-writing tracks with the likes of Newton Faulkner and Jack Savoretti. The former X Factor contestant had very little singing experience before Kelly Rowland chose her for the X Factor live shows in 2011, but now has YouTube videos with over 10.5 million views worldwide.
Wayward Daughter are made up of Lydia McAllister (vocals) and Becky East (guitar) and started writing music together in 2010 when they started uploading covers to YouTube. They supported McFly in Easter 2012 and released their first studio EP, How Long Will You Wander through Pledge Music earlier this year in May.
