Sonic Boom Six to Launch ‘Hatfield Rocks’ With A Bang!

• Sonic Boom Six to headline opening night with local support Fallow Fields + Supernothing
• Monthly gig night to give local bands the chance to play with touring artists
• ‘Hatfield Rocks’ launching Thursday 10th October at The Forum Hertfordshire

Mighty ska-punk rockers Sonic Boom Six with be headlining the first ever Hatfield Rocks, a new monthly gig night on Thursday 10th October at The Forum Hertfordshire. Designed to give local acts exposure and the chance to play with touring artists, the first Hatfield Rocks will see local pop-punk hopefuls Fallow Fields and ska-punks Supernothing kicking off the proceedings.

Sonic Boom Six have been described by Kerrang! as "taking ska, pop, grime, dubstep, punk and metal apart, then rebuilding them as a hyperactive hybrid” and they have a live show renowned for "clashing activism and good times". They are known for their ability to fill the dance-floor, while retaining enough aggressive power to be an active fixture in the UK rock scene.

The first two Hertfordshire based acts announced to take the stage at Hatfield Rocks are Fallow Fields, whose video for the pop-punk fuelled ‘Motivation’ has appeared on Kerrang! TV and Scuzz, and ska-punks Supernothing, drawing influence from the likes of Operation Ivy, NOFX and Streetlight Manifesto. A third band also hailing from Hertfordshire, a region that boasts such rock royalty as Enter Shikari, will be announced in the run up to the launch night.

The 14+ night will take place in the venue’s 320 capacity ‘Attic’, home to the Tiger Stage at this year’s Slam Dunk South. There will be a regular format of three local acts supporting one large headline band – giving these local acts exposure to larger audiences and offer an opportunity to enter the gigging circuit.
