Beat Unique Presents: Infinite Scale + Kinza live AV sets + DJs

Fresh from co-promoting the last two Digital City parties and two years worth of The Dodo Club parties, promoter Beat Unique is back, to brighten up your winter's night with a sizzling, eclectic, electronic line up of live acts, DJs and stunning visuals.

Infinite Scale is Harmi Palda; a London based producer, DJ, broadcaster and musician. His releases have been played on radio stations across the planet and his plays on Bandcamp, Soundcloud, LastFm and Youtube total over 700,000. For solo artist Infinite Scale, the last 17 years have seen albums, eps and singles on such electronica homestays as Toytronic and Rednetic. He has also been commissioned to compose music for the BBC, both on radio and TV and has done sessions at Maida Vale for The Blue Room, as well as for the late great weekly radio programme Breezeblock on Radio 1, which focussed primarily on experimental electronic music.

After the recent release of his third full album Living Moments, which was a departure from his previous releases; a more ambient record many years in the making, Infinite Scale is back with a live set of original soundscape pieces, with firm roots in techno, acid, electronica and house.

Infinite Scale's set will be accompanied by outstanding, beautiful visuals from the immensely talented VJ Mach V. Anyone who has witnessed his visual magic at Echaskech live gigs will be aware of the visual treats he has in store for us. Mach V is also a regular VJ at Digital City parties.
Kinza is the new project from the first signing to Ominim Records (outside of mainstay artist and label founders Yimino).

He has released three albums and two eps and is now about to release his debut album under his new name.

He gets inspiration musically by an eclectic mix of Detroit Techno artists, Prince, Miles Davis, Stravinsky and Rachmaninov. His sonic palette is formed from a mixture of synthesisers, real instruments and samples from all around, including body parts, children, balloons and food.

Kinza is hard to categorize, his music varies in tempo. It can be hectic one moment and uplifting the next, it stutters and starts and changes direction and samples can trip us up and disorientate us. But one thing's for sure, it's very quirky and unique.

Kinza's set will be visually accompanied by a selection of haunting, mildly disturbing and atmospheric photographs he has taken on location in abandoned, dilapidated buildings, including ex mental asylums, hospitals, factories and houses. Kinza likes to supplement his music with images he has captured on his adventures into decay.

Spinning the tunes between live acts and digging into their extensive record collections, we have:

DJ Phil: Phil Winter is from folk music band Tunng, who are often associated with the folktronica genre, due to the electronic influences evident in some of their work, such as quirky samples, beats and occasional big bass lines. Phil is also in analogue electronic band Wrangler, Stephen Mallinder from Cabaret Voltaire's new project, who released their debut album LA Spark in May.

DJ Andrew Dobson will be airing some of his favourite Toytronic tunes. He has been recording and performing his particular take on classically-influenced electronica as Digitonal since 1997. Part of the late phase of UK melodic electronica, he came to prominence on the seminal Toytronic Records label with a track on the classic Neurokinetic compilation and a debut album, 23: Things Fall Apart, on the label shortly afterwards.

Since then, Andrew has recorded for Seed Records, Cactus Island, Uncharted Audio, B12 and Just Music. He is currently working on a Digitonal studio album, due out imminently.

This event is promoted by Beat Unique. Promoting innovative and awe-inspiring electronic music.
